That’s the Last Time I Wear a Skirt

TRexSkirtAs I pored over images of Wonder Woman in old comics and on the internet I kept coming across different pictures of her caught in the jaws of a dinosaur. I surmised  that it is an iconic image (right up there with Wonder Woman in chains or riding a bomb) and ripe for spoofing.

WWIIWithJoeOriginally, I was dreaming up comics about Wonder Woman’s domestic life. Then I realized that she was thousands of years old and I could show her being present at famous moments in history, like Woody Allen’s “Zelig”. It is also my first comic character crossover strip. It shows her with Willie  and Joe from Bill Mauldin’s WW II comic “Up Front”. The comic was inspired by a photo I saw of Marilyn Monroe hugging American soldiers stationed in Korea.
