That’s the Last Time I Wear a Skirt

TRexSkirtAs I pored over images of Wonder Woman in old comics and on the internet I kept coming across different pictures of her caught in the jaws of a dinosaur. I surmised  that it is an iconic image (right up there with Wonder Woman in chains or riding a bomb) and ripe for spoofing.

WWIIWithJoeOriginally, I was dreaming up comics about Wonder Woman’s domestic life. Then I realized that she was thousands of years old and I could show her being present at famous moments in history, like Woody Allen’s “Zelig”. It is also my first comic character crossover strip. It shows her with Willie¬† and Joe from Bill Mauldin’s WW II comic “Up Front”. The comic was inspired by a photo I saw of Marilyn Monroe hugging American soldiers stationed in Korea.
